Pick a name and personality for your AI receptionist.

Your AI receptionist has a voice and a personality. Both are configurable.

Where to set it

In your dashboard:

  1. SettingsAI Receptionist
  2. Find the Voice persona field at the bottom of the page
The Voice persona field on the AI Receptionist settings page
The Voice persona field lives at the bottom of Settings → AI Receptionist.

What to write

This is free-text — describe the personality you want in 1-2 sentences. Examples:

  • "Warm and friendly neighborhood agent. Goes by Kim."
  • "Crisp and professional. Direct. Goes by Alex."
  • "Bubbly and energetic. Always cheerful. Goes by Riley."

The receptionist uses this description to choose word choices and tone. The name you specify also shows up in your system prompt — the AI will refer to itself by that name when callers ask.

Voice (the actual TTS voice)

The voice itself comes from ElevenLabs Multilingual v2 — the default voice is Sarah (warm, clear, slightly American accent). She speaks both English and Spanish natively, which is what makes our bilingual greeting feature work cleanly.

To change voices, contact support — we audition new voices manually because TTS quality varies a lot between voices and not all of them speak Spanish well.

Save + sync

After editing, click Save at the top of the page. Then your aiapps365 contact clicks Sync (live) on the AI Assistant page to push the change to your Vapi assistant — usually within seconds.

Why two steps?

We save your config locally first, then push to Vapi as a deliberate second step. This lets the operator preview the whole config + the generated system prompt before the live AI sees it.
